STAGE MANAGER
The Stage Manager is the Director's representative during performances, as once the show opens the Director’s work is done and it is your job the make sure that every aspect of the production runs just as the Director intended.
You will work side by side with the Director during rehearsals. You should record the Director's decisions about blocking and notes for the actors, keeping track of logistical and scheduling details.
There are certain skills a Stage Manager must have if they are to carry out their role to the best of their ability. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to handle pressure and be able to use your initiative and react quickly to situations that may arise during a performance.
