SOUND TECHNICIAN

The Sound Tech liaises with the Director on what sound effects are required and then either recording them or sourcing new from sound libraries.  The process involves amplifying, balancing, mixing and monitoring and checking and removing any interference by dubbing. You will be responsible for setting up, testing & adjusting equipment if we are performing away from the Town Hall (don’t worry you wont be left on your own!)

During the performance you will be playing music, speech and sound effects and using the mixing desk to control the volume levels.  At the same time you will be monitoring audio signals to make sure sound quality is consistent.

Outside of productions you will be servicing, maintaining, and repairing sound equipment under the guidance of existing members or relevant qualified personnel.
