PROPS DEPARTMENT

What are props? A 'Prop' is any object used in a performance that isn't part of the set or worn by an actor. You will liaise with the Director to discover what props are needed in the performance then source them, beg, steal, borrow or  make them and then make sure that they are in the correct place on stage or backstage for the cast to take on during the performance.

After the performance it is your responsibility to pack away any props used, return them to their original place or owner and to replace broken ones using funds from the group after gaining permission from the Committee.  Regular attendance at rehearsals will be required from quite early on so actors get used to working with the items you have provided.
